The journal is pursues the academic exploration on Islamic education discourses in Southeast Asian schools, colleges, universities, and other Islamic educational institutions such as pesantrens (Islamic boarding schools). The journal promotes empirical research and theory relevant to Islamic affiliated educational institutions. The topics of the journal cover the micro, meso, and macro levels of Islamic education such as the philosophy of Islamic education, Islamic school leadership, and the politics of Islamic education. The journal is published twice a year in June and December. It was firstly published in 2013 (printed edition). Since Vol. 3, Issue 2 (December 2015), it has migrated gradually to an electronic journal system (Open Access). It is now a fully online journal, and since Vol. 8, No. 2 (December 2019) it only accepts manuscript submissions written in English or Arabic.

Abstract

The background of this research is SMPIT DaarussalaamSangatta East Kutai as the only one education institute ofjunior high schools in East Kutai that implement Ummi Method and Al – Qur’an study as the priority program. The aim of this research is to acknowledge the background of Ummi method at the institution, the implement of Al – Qur’an study using Ummi method and to discover thesupport and obstacle factors. The type of research is field research, the resource of data is from interview, observation and documentation. The result of this research is the implement of Qur’an Study using Ummi method runs well. It is shown 48 students  running of Khataman  and Imtiihan Al – Qur’an year 2015 collaborate with Ummi Foundation Centre Surabaya. The support factors for Al – Qur’an Study using Ummi method is the achievement of Ummi method study system and parenting support. Meanwhile the obstacle factors faced in Al – Quran study at SMPIT Daarussalaam is the teacher standardization and the incomplete facilities. According to the discovery, writer suggests to the school to increase the teachers’ quality by providing intensive training and regular evaluation.

Abstract

Islamic education is a compulsory subject in every educational institution. Students are expected do not only know theory of religion but they also understand, feel, and implement theory of religion. Therefore, evaluation instrument of affective domain for Islamic education subject need to be developed and taken care since there has not been any evaluation instrument yet which is particularly developed for Islamic education subject. So this research aim at developing evaluation instrument of affective domain for Islamic education subject that fulfill validity and reliability requirement. Population of research object is evaluation instrument of affective domain assessment and population of research subjects are Junior High School students in Samarinda. Sample of this research is taken by using stratified proportional random sampling technique. Referring to the instrument construction, the use of revised GBPP of Islamic education subject for Junior High School is considered as the correct option. Data collection was done by using questionnaire technique. Data was analyzed by using Iteman analysis technique to find out degree of validity and reliability. Data analysis result reveals Likert method questionnaire, from the test of construct validity shows cumulative variant value 90.4% or it can show 94% of theory construct which has been stated. Reliability coefficient obtained is 0.914 with 0.124 SEM value which indicate very good quality of affective domain instrument. The use of sentences in constructing Likert method instrument assisted respondents to respond the instrument well. In Likert method, constructing questionnaire takes long sentences so that the respondents feel tired to read those statements. Likert method require sequence of words to formulate a good and objective statement. The implementation is that in Islamic education subject require efforts to take the decision.

Abstract

This research in the wake of the fact that in this time,  students who study Islamic religious education but in himself has not formed Muslim personality, Beginning of dress, speech, association, and other things. In fact, there are still many who have not established conduct religious teachings such as prayer, fasting, and in her social morals less reflects a Muslim student. And do not rule out some that have very broad spiritual  experience  can leave worship and even do things that are religiously forbidden.This research aimed to determine whether there is the effect of understanding islamic education on spiritual  experience  SMA N 1 Sangkulirang. The hypothesis of this study is " theare  is significant effect  among the understanding of Islamic religious education on  spiritual  experience  student SMA N 1 Sangkulirang." That is the better understanding of Islamic education, it would be better of  the spiritual  experience student SMA N I Sangkulirang.The sample collection technique is using cluster random sampling technique on student of SMA N1 class X and XI. While respondents count 104 students. The results obtained show that  understanding of Islamic religious education have the value of  r count of 0.587 with significance value of 0.000. And the count value r is greater than r table (0.578> 0.191), while the value of significance is also smaller than alpha of 0.05 (0.000> 0.05) thus testing showed Ha Ho accepted and rejected. These results show that the variable understanding of Islamic religious education in a positive and significant effect on students religious practice.R Square results obtained amounted to 0.345 which means that the variable student religious practice can be affected by variables Islam understanding of religious education 34.5%, while the rest is influenced by other variables outside the research.Therefore can be concluded that the understanding of Islamic religious education affect on the  spiritual  experience student. Based on the above findings, the authors suggest to the school in order to further enhance the learning of Islamic education to provide religious understanding and practice to students.

Abstract

This thesis is a study of the concept of parenting parents in the Koran (verses analysis study of communication parents and children), and aims to explore the type of parenting as well as the methods used by four parents in providing education and guidance to children became the object of this study. As for the four parents who meet the qualifications for being the object of this study are: As Noah and his sons; Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail As; As the prophet Jacob and Joseph As well as Luqman and his son. By knowing parenting and methods used in the verse, it will be easier for parents to imitate and take lessons that are inside.This study is a pure research library using interpretation approach, using methods maudui. This method was chosen because it is considered the most appropriate, at least until recently, to study the concepts of Quran on an issue, if the expected results of comprehensive and intact. Because this study involves the Koran directly, the first source is the holy book of Quran. Manuscripts that are used are the manuscripts of Religious Affairs. Other sources include books of commentaries, books and other writings related to this research.The results showed that the type of parenting parents in the verses of communication parents and children have a pattern and pattern Authoritarian Democracy. Authoritarian pattern can occur when educators provide that pressure followed by learners, while pattern Democracy can walk when educators give students the freedom to think, be creative and not to impose to the learners. In addition, another result of this study is the existence of several methods used to instill the values contained in the QS. Hud (11) Verses 42-43, QS. Alsaffat (37) Verses 102, QS. Yusuf (12) Verses 4-5, QS. Luqman (31) Verses 13-19) are: a) the method of behavior, b) the method of mauiz}ahh}asanah, c) the method of meeting , d) the method of attention.This research, contributing positively in spreading the wisdom-the wisdom of Quran learn how to ducate children well and help to answer everyday issue within the family so that cen createsakinah mawaddah wa rahmah.

Abstract

The Essence of guru ngaji is a teacher who teaches religion & religiosity. It means that   guru ngaji has full authority to teach the religious science and behavior. As a religious teacher, guru ngaji has more religious content. It is positively culminated in the theory (religion) and implementation of religiousness (religiosity).  These two key elements will determine the authority of guru ngaji in improving the productivity of santri’s learning process.  Even since the Dutch colonial era, guru ngaji, noted well as Kyai, has a very significant authority related to the transformation process of the religious science in shaping santri’s behavior that is sociable to civilization. Therefore, in this article, the author would critically and comprehensively examine a study of the religious authority on the North Coast of Central Java, especially in Madrasah Qudsiyyah Kudus.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the model of leadership Elementary School as the city of Samarinda. Leadership headmaster headmaster said tobe successful if it can truly reflect the values of the expected personality  headmaster, in carrying out their duties do not conflict with applicable regulations, and the results reflect the achievement of a balance between the objectives of madrasas, the purpose of the existing human resources in madrasas, as well as the desires or expectations of society. Leadership headmaster can also be interpreted as a model or a variety of leadership headmaster appropriate to the situation in order to influence, to direct, guide to sub ordinates by streng thening confidence, support, encouragement and cooperation in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the institution.  The research used a qualitative descriptive, informants in this study is the Principal and  Teachers at MIN 1 and MIN 2 Samarinda. Data were analyzed by following the model of the measures used by Miles and Huberman: data reduction, data display and conclusion. From the analysis of these data, we concluded that leadership styleis trans formational MIN 1 and MIN 2 Samarinda, it can be seen from the way the principal and teachers to transform the situation and habit schange, deliveringa sublime goal in the form of spiritual valueshigh, raise the value of freedom, justice and equality among teachers, giving the example of the teachers, teachers fostera desire to bring about the development of the school and develop a sense of discipline, responsibility, sincerity and zeal to work hard
